Turning the Corner without Hitting a Wall

The job market is not what it used to be. In fact, more and more of us find ourselves forced to make a career change these days and in our search for paying work, turning the corner can often mean hitting a wall. If you have had to “make some adjustments” in your life-style due to a decrease or loss in income, take a look – deep inside you – and ask yourself the following questions:

  • What was so good about my former job?
  • What would I choose to do if I could do whatever I wanted to earn a living?
  • What do I know, what experience do I possess that others do not – and are needing?
  • What would it mean to me to be able to set my own hours?
  • How can I stop searching for a ‘niche’ and create one instead?

You may be wondering if you have what it takes to launch your own business. Maybe you have already contemplated what it would take, are ready to dive in, but don’t know where to start. Or maybe you have been in business for a while and are now ready to take that business to the next level.

Whatever corner you are about to turn in the business world, you need not hit a wall!

When the job market is weaker than normal, it seems to make the entrepreneurial spirit that much stronger. Those who no longer have a job will often choose to follow their dreams. Being forced to leave their comfort zone can be the incentive the capable (but cautious) creative soul needs to GO FOR IT – whatever IT might be!

Of course, not everyone wants to start their own business. We aren’t all entrepreneurs and some prefer to pursue and find that dream job where they can excel and shine under someone else’s leading. Kendra Prospero started Turning the Corner, LLC after realizing that she spends all of her time thinking about how she can help people be more fulfilled in their jobs. Whether currently employed, recently unemployed or seeking a job for the first time, Turning the Corner, LLC can help you avoid hitting a wall in today’s tough market.
